The tour travels to Evian-le-Bains, France this week for the Evian Masters. Karrie Webb tries to defend while Lorena Ochoa, Paula Creamer and others look to unseat her.
Here is the LPGA Top-20 on the Official Money List along with their Rolex Women's World Golf Ranking.
There have been only two multiple winners on the LPGA Tour this year, Lorena Ochoa (3) and Suzann Petterson (2), but others have been hot lately.
Statistical leaders this week include: Karen Sjodin, average driving distance (277.2); Lorena Ochoa, greens in regulation (75.8%); Young Kim, putting average (28.24 per round); Lorena Ochoa, scoring average (69.87); Won Lee, driving accuracy (83.7%); and Annika Sorenstam, sand saves (68.8%).
Lorena Ochoa leads the pack in top-10 finishes with 12. In second place is Angela Stanford with eight. Both have played 15 events. Several players are tied for third: Stacy Prammanasudh, Jee Young Lee, Morgan Pressel, Mi Hyun Kim, and Paula Creamer. Each has seven top-10 finishes.
As mentioned above, this week's tournament is the Evian Masters. The 2007 Evian Masters event is a Winner Event as part of LPGA Playoffs 2007. That means that any LPGA member who wins the Evian Masters earns automatic entry into the season-ending ADT Championship and a chance at the $1 million first-place prize. Is anyone else pulling for someone who needs a win at a Winner Event to get into the ADT Championship?
